Good article and made me think of the 5 ways we put together what makes a great golf course. 1 - memorable, 2 golfing challenge, 3 - subtle, 4 - aesthetic splendour, 5 - indefinable element of mood, or atmosphere or ambience or whatever other label you may want to apply
